Life Update.

I very rarely sit down and just type whats on my mind. I always write posts in advance, most of the time when I'm being a good blogger.. So doing this will be quite a nice change, although quite
strange too no doubt.

I think the reason I never do this is because my life isn't very interesting haha - I literally work, work to live or live to work, you tell me. My life seems to revolve around work, although I'm not complaining because not everyone is lucky enough to have a full time job which pays well enough. So I can honestly say, on a normal day, I don't really have much to tell you, other than I might have been pooed on today, yep, just said that, or the highlight of my day might have been finishing work and spending the evening in my bed, told you I had a really exciting life, I mean who wouldn't be jealous right now.

But the last 2 weeks have actually been pretty good to me, I've just came back to mums after house sitting for my dad for 2 weeks. I surprisingly really enjoyed having my own independence, even silly things like doing my own washing, cleaning, is that weird? probably, but I liked having to do things for myself, pretending I had my own house haha. Matt (the boyf) stayed with me, and I can honestly say he didn't piss me off once - if he reads this he will instantly think I'm lying, because I moaned constantly about how bleddy lazy he was. I mean seriously how many times does it take for a bloke to bring out his dirty dishes for you to wash up? and do they ever do the washing up without being asked? I think Matt should answer that one haha. It definitely tested our relationship, and I think we could both agree that we genuinely had a really nice time living together, so the future is looking positive for whatever is to come within the next couple of years.

I also spent the majority of my time at work for those 2 weeks, surprise. But this was doing my first aid training, and it was so interesting! I spent 4 evenings staying on after work, learning about CPR, illnesses, bandages etc, and I can now proudly say I am fully qualified in Paediatric First Aid. *claps self*

Last week I finally bought a Macbook! I say finally, because id been debating it for a while, not because I didn't think I wanted one, but because I hate parting with so much money, £1000 is a lot of money for a laptop - literally just a laptop. I could go on holiday for that money. But I stopped being so stingy and bought one, I rarely buy things for myself so this didn't really do too much damage - I have enough to get me through until payday, just!

Looking forward, It's my birthday soon! 25th October. I'm genuinely not excited.. usually I look forward to it, but Im not really doing anything this year, Matt and me were going to have a night away somewhere, but Matts so indecisive so that isn't happening now. I think I'm spending time with my family on my actual birthday, and having the next day off just for the sake of it now haha. Being 20 is pretty weird, I don't feel like a soon to be 20 year old.

So before you fall asleep, I shall leave it there - I actually really liked writing about what's on my mind, and I hope you liked having a little update about how shite my life is haha!

Lots of Love,
Sophxo

  6. My husband has a macbook and I'm so envious! But it's so small compared to my Dell and I don't think I could ever sacrifice my keyboard! Great post!

  8. My life is pretty much the same, but to be honest, I think most people´s are. The famous bloggers get to go to events as part of their work, but for the majority of us it is our daily 9-5, grocery shopping and doing the laundry.
And I really enjoyed the washing and cooking when I had my first place, too. But I assure you, that stops once you have been living on your own for 16 years.

    1. Very true! we juggle so much, thinking of what I do in a day, hurts my brain I do so much haha!
really?! I see your point, it probably would wear off.. although that would be Matts time to step in and help.. doubt that would happen though, haha.

      thankyou for your lovely comment!

  9. I'm still a student and am basically stuck in a gap year working 9-5, so I'm pretty much in the same sitch as you, except I know I'm working to live, haha.I think being able to have a good day at work and go home to lounge in bed is the best thing ever.

It sounds pretty exciting that you're a certified pediatric first aid! We used to have little lessons like that at school but I've sort of forgotten everything I've learned.

Being able to spend time with the boyfriend is one of my favourite things ever, really, but c'mon, guys and dishwashing -- it's a mystery, innit?!

I hope you have a lovely rest of the week, Soph!

    1. Im definitely working to live, although sometimes it feels like my only purpose in like is to work, which is never good haha! It literally is - I look forward to going home to bed, that's how terrible my life is right now! honestly haha.

Me too! We had people come into school to teach us little bits, so sitting down and doing a full on training programme was very daunting! and the tests.. my word they were horrendous!!

I think its just time to accept that men will never help out when it comes to cleaning, unless they've done something wrong.. then you know something is up haha!

ah bless you, you're really lovely! thank you for your kind comment xox

I loved this post you should do more of these! :-) I'm impressed that your boyf didn't piss you off the whole 2 weeks! Me and my boyfriend tend to piss each other off at least once a day ha ha ha :-) Also congrats on joining the macbook club :D May its awesomeness serve you well!
