October Instagram Roundup.

October went by so quickly didn't it?! It really doesn't feel like its been a month since I wrote the September roundup, I've had a pretty busy October - meaning it practically whizzed by, and lots of new photos!

It was my birthday in October, which was a good excuse for cake; how amazing is this cake though?! Mac and me found it in Asda, I really didn't want to cut it! Its white chocolate.

For the first time ever, I broke my beloved iPhone 6! :( I was pretending it was a microphone, and flung it down the toilet haha. It was completely dead,  I spoke to apple, who said it would cost me £260 to repair, so I went to Carphone Warehouse hoping to pay off my contract, and start a new one with a new phone. To find I was due an upgrade months ago, wuhay! :)

Not gunna lie I'm so impressed that I managed to do these myself.. *grins*

I received a fair few gifts for my birthday, all of which I'm really grateful for. My mum bought me the Soap and Glory eyeliner, and the Glad Hair Day. I do love a bit of S&G!

I'm so impressed with the bath bomb collection I've got going on haha.. Matt bought me a gift set for my birthday, I loved everything, so I went on the Lush website to find they now have all of their christmas bits in, clearly I couldn't help myself and bought the whole bleddy shop!

I seem to say this every month, I bought another red lipstick, the obsession is forever strong haha. This one looks so pretty, although I have loads of reds I can assure you each one is a different shade, or so I think, everyone thinks they're exactly the same! 

This little beauty is Matt who I'm forever talking about/bigging up. Who I recently described to my friend as being an 11/10 haha, he was very chuffed. He made my birthday the best one yet, he bought me the nicest, most thoughtful gifts and I couldn't be more thankful. You could tell he thought about each one really carefully, he knows me better than I know myself. This was taken outside of the place we went for a Carvery, for my birthday. But how vile does my hair look.. definitely need to get it dyed! 

This little beauty was one of my presents from Matt, if you've never heard of Imperial Candles, go straight to their website now because you'll definitely want one! Its basically a candle with jewellery inside, Matt chose a ring to go inside mine. He also chose to get me a bath bomb too, which had the prettiest necklace inside. Amazing idea!

Autumn Nails.

Recently a lovely lady from Born Pretty Store sent me some really pretty nail art pieces which I was very excited to try out! 

Ive not really used nail stickers before, so I expected the application to be really difficult, but I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. Personally I think they look so pretty! 

I was sent 7 small packs, most of which were flowers, which I had chosen, although one of them was little snowflakes and fawns - fawns are my absolute favourite animal! I shall be wearing these around Christmas time haha. 

Today I decided to use the flowers which looked the most Autumnal, because obviously we're well into Autumn at the minute; 

I decided to pair it with a white nail varnish, I think if I was to use a bold colour there would be too much going on, as the flowers are quite bright and theres a lot of them. 

I started by checking the instructions on the back of the packet, which I didn't understand at all. It was basically just a jumble of words, like someone didn't have much of an understanding of english, for example one of the instructions were; "Waterwet with a surface, ll turn pattern sliding surface moves to the satisfaction to shell of Angle" - so yep, that was reeeeeally helpful. 

I kind of just winged it, no idea if I did it right, but I tried to read between the lines of the instructions, and they turned out okay, so I think I did it right haha.

First of all I cut the pattern into small pieces to fit my nails, there was a guideline on the sheet, but my nails are tiny so I just cut where I needed to so I wouldn't waste so much. 

You then need a warm glass/bowl of water to hand, to apply them to your nails (once your nail varnish of choice is completely dry), dip the piece of card into the water for around 10 seconds, you then need to place it ontop of the nail, to which a thin film with the flowers attached will stick to your nail. It was almost like a really thin cling film, and it smells like the rubber rings you can buy on hot holidays haha. 

It stuck really well, but to be extra sure it wouldn't budge, I applied a top coat. I'm really impressed with how good it looks, I didn't expect big things if I'm honest, but it genuinely looks like I've painted the pattern on myself, wish I could actually take the credit for painting it on. 

I would 100% recommend trying the water sticker decals out for yourself, they have so so many different patterns to choose from, I found it very hard to choose!

A Big Drugstore, Yankee Candle & Primark Haul.

Myself and my boyfriend spent the weekend just gone in Cardiff, one of the best places to go for shopping - or so I think anyway, it's massive! I picked up a fair few things, so I thought I would share with you what I bought! I haven't included everything, because if I did, you would get incredibly bored.. I bought far too much!

 

 

Primark -  Bambi PJ Bottoms. These are so so soft, and really comfortable. I love the little quote on the leg - these are more of a thin pair of jogging bottoms than PJ's, there's also a matching top but I went with just the bottoms! I think these were around £7.

 

Primark - Fluffy Bed Socks. I wasn't going to buy these! Matt made me haha, and I'm so glad he did. I'm a sucker for anything Disney! These were £2.50
 

 

Primark - Hair Clips and Earrings. I don't think I ever go into Primark and not buy their hair clips, they're the best I've found for my stupidly thick long hair! I also picked up these earrings, the boyfriend chose these, they're rather pretty!:)

Primark - Scarf. Ive wanted a new scarf for aaaaages, I saw this one without even looking at the price at bought it straight away haha, It was only £4.00 though which is an absolute bargain!

 

Boots - Little Mix's Gold Magic Perfume. My new favourite perfume, it smells amazing! I wont try and explain what it smells like because I'm rubbish haha, but seriously it's incredibleeee! £19.95

Yankee Candles are my favourite, I've bought snowflake cookie 3 times now, however berry trifle is new for this year! I know it's not Christmas yet, but I'm so excited haha!

Barry M Matte Topcoat | Review

At the moment I am obsessed with matte nail varnish, I much prefer buying a matte top coat, as it means I can turn basically any nail varnish I own into a matte version, I have way too many nail vanishes as it is, so this has not only saved me space, but a lot of money too!

 

I'd been meaning to buy a black nail varnish for aaaaages now, I always end up forgetting as it's never a priority when I go shopping, however whilst looking through the nail varnish in Boots I saw Barry Ms Black and remembered I needed to buy it. I also saw this Matte Top Coat (also Barry M) sitting nicely next to it, I'd seen a fair few pictures last winter of matte black nails, and quite liked the look of it, so I bought this too, and thought id try it out for this winter.

 

 

Barry M nail varnishes are the ones I always go back to, I own 23 of them at the minute. This seems a little excessive but if you know me at all then you'll know that this is a tiny fraction of what I actually own. oopssss.

 

Barry M states their normal nail varnishes are; quick drying, have a hard wearing formula, and are suitable for all types of nails.

 

Barry M states their Matte Top Coat is; perfect for any nail colour, it makes any nail varnish an on trend statement, whilst offering brilliant protection.

 

I've said many a times In the past how much I love Barry M nail varnishes, so I'm not going to bore you too much with what I think about the black, other than it's really quick drying, and only takes 2 coats to become opaque. The Matte Top Coat however is a new one for me, and I definitely wasn't disappointed! It dries incredibly fast, I thought I would have to sit and wait for a good while until my nails were dry, however after 5 minutes they were completely dry. It pretty much does what it says on the tin, it's a brilliant matte top coat and completely knocks out the shine, and I have to say I think I much prefer this look to having a high shine nail varnish on at the minute! Which is rare for me as I'm always buying the Barry M Gelly Nail Paints!

Another Drugstore Makeup Haul.

 

It would appear I can't go into boots without buying anything.. So I thought I would share the bits I picked up! As if I needed anymore makeup..

 

 

 

 

The question is, who doesn't love the Garnier Micellar water?! I'm pretty sure this is my 6th bottle, it's incredible at removing makeup, if you don't own a bottle you need to pick it up, it's amazing!

I'm yet to try these! Well, I had the Black back in the day, and just never repurchased it, so I bought it again and thought id pair it with a matte topcoat, have any of you tried the topcoat? If so, is it any good or have I just wasted my money haha? I'll let you know how I get on with it if you're interested!

I'm pretty sure every blogger and their dog has raved about this eye shadow palette, and after finally trying it I can see why, it is so so pigmented, a little really goes a long way, it's literally incredible. I also use every colour, which is brill as I have a few palettes where I only use the odd colour, this one however, I really do love each shade! I used 3 of these colours for a night out, ad they stayed put throughout! Definitely worth the buy!

This is another product that has been raved about - I rarely use a liquid liner, but I thought I would try it out to see if I liked the look of it, I can't say it would use it as an every day thing.. I think that's because I'm not used to how dramatic it looks, but for a night out it is brilliant, as is it's staying power. However I do find it incredibly difficult to remove, but pair it with a good makeup remover and you're good to go. :)

Oops.. another lipstick, I bought one of these just over a week ago, and loved it so much I had to go back and buy another.. I don't need to express how much love I have for this, it's in the shade 30, and is part of the Kate Moss collection. Basically, if you haven't tried these lipsticks before, buy one right now! They feel amazing, smell amazing, and look amazing. They're my absolute favourite!

Nail Polish: New Purchases

Did I really need to buy any more nail polishes? No. Could I stop myself? No. I'm beginning to accept I may have a slight problem, with the amount of nail polishes I have.. I now have about 312, yeah, I still can't justify that, I don't use all of them obviously, but for some reason if I see a colour I like I just buy them all! It's bad I know.. 

But these two are amazing, and I love BarryM, I bought Pink Sapphire a good few months ago, but I never used it for some reason, probably because I have to many to choose from *sighs*, but I honestly can't stop using it now, even though it's a pain remove! You also get a good coverage too, without having to dab all the time like some glitter polishes, if you haven't got it, you really need to go and buy it! And I find it looks so pretty with the pink I bought! (Dragon) 

Dragon was a bit of a random buy for me and I don't usually wear pinks, but I love the Gelly range and the fact the polish has a slight shimmer to it made it 10x prettier in my eyes. (I was also made to but this so my mum could use it, she is also obsessed!) haha.

I've also recently seen the new pastel collection BarryM have brought out, so once again it looks like I may need to take a trip into boots.. I must stop. One day. Soon maybe.. Probably never, haha!

How to: Nail Foils

Oh hiiiii!

If you didn't already know, I am obsessed with doing my nails. I'm always thinking of new designs and for some reason I love doing them, even if it takes me a good while!

I'm definitely not a pro, but I thought id share a few tips with you.

You will need the following; 

- Adhesive 

- Nail Foil

- Nail Polish of choice

- Glitter nail polish, or loose glitter

- Top coat

- Nail prep (optional) 

I used two coloured nail polishes, Models Own scented nail polish in Blueberry Muffin, and BarryM's Foil Effects.

1) To begin with, I prepared my nails by applying my nail prep, this is optional, but nail prep clears your nails of any bacteria and dirt, meaning your nail polish will last longer.

2) I decided to use the foil on two nails, so, I painted all four nails on both hands with the silver BarryM nail paint, as when the foil is applied chances are you may have a few spots where the foil didn't stick to your nail, if there's a polish underneath is isn't as noticeable! Obviously make sure it matches the colour of the foil! 

3) Apply the adhesive to one of the nails, it should look cloudy when wet, and clear when dry.

4) When dry, press the foil into the nail, to help smooth it out you could use a cotton bud, it's important that the foil is as smooth as it can be, as this means there will be less "bald spots"

5) and boooom! There you have your first beautiful foiled nail. 

For my other nails, I used my Models Own polish, and topped this with a loose glitter which I got from Avon. I absolutely love how the foil turned out, in the sun it looks amazing! 

Also don't forget to use a top coat! Just make sure it isn't a fast drying one, as this can affect how the foil looks!

BarryM Gelly Nail Paint

Oh hiiiii!

 

Ok, so if you didn't already know, i am absolutely obsessed with BarryM nail polish. Earlier today I purchased Greenberry, and Blue Grape.

 

 

 

 

 I absolutely love both, and I think they will look gorgeous in the spring/summer.

The fact that they are from the Gelly range is also a bonus as I find that they last a really long time on my nails, and they are very opaque!

 

I'd love to know if you have any colour recommendations!

Nail Polish Collection

Hello lovelies:)

I can't actually justify why I have so many nail polishes.. I wish I could, but there is no way anyone could use this many regularly. I always find myself sticking to my favourites, although it's nice to have such a big selection, my friends and family are quite glad too as they like to use a lot of the colours regardless of the brand!

The top shelf are my favourites, and the bottom shelf are the non branded ones, and the ones I don't really use. 

I bought the shelfs from Ebay, I have looked to see if they are still on there but I can't seem to find them, if you're interested in getting them try putting in "black nail polish wall rack", I got mine over a year ago so you may not be able to find them anymore, sorry about that! 

It's taken me quite a while to collect as many as I have done, I've currently got around 122, and will more than likely be getting more as I can't seem to refuse a Boots or Superdrug splurge! 

The BarryM nail polishes are my ultimate favourites, the application is really good, with some only needing one coat! The Gelly ones are always my first choice as they dry so shiny, without a top coat needed, I highly recommend getting some as I can't stop using mine! (I think the quarter empty bottles give that away!)

I'd love to know what your favourite nail polish Brand is, and the colours you would recommend!
