I Bloody LOVE Too Faced

 Too Faced is fast becoming one of my all time favourite makeup brands. For one, the packaging is beautiful, like, seriously beautiful, & the quality of the makeup is amazing. 

I didn't really ask for anything this Christmas, my dad asked what I wanted and I gave him the brand Too Faced as an option, I told him what I already had and let him do the rest. Pretty risky actually when you think about it.. he knows virtually nothing about makeup! Anyway, I think he did brilliant?! He chose to get me the Mr Right brush, and the Natural Matte eyeshadow palette. 

I had serious heart eyes over the Mr Right brush when I opened it, I love the baby blue colour, and it looks so so pretty on my dressing table.

How cute is the tiny bear on the handle? 

 Too Faced hit the nail on the head with the packaging for this brush, the blue box with gold detail is so beautiful and elegant. I also love the description they give on the box. I use the brush to apply face powder, and it does so with no effort at all. The brush is so, SO soft, Too Faced themselves actually state that they designed the brushes teddy bear hair to be soft, however firm enough to do a brilliant job- which is such a cute description. It really does feel as soft as teddy bear fur. 

I can't quite believe that my dad even chose the next product, for a man that supposedly knows nothing about makeup, he did a fab job. He chose the Natural Matte eyeshadow palette. Weirdly, I don't actually own any matte shades, I have a lot of glitters and shimmers, but none of the basic mattes, & oh me oh my are these colours beautiful. Definitely a must have for any makeup lovers.

How pretty are the colours?!

Again, the packaging is so oh beautiful- I had no doubt when I opened it that the colours would be beautiful too. The palette comes with a really handy booklet that gives you 3 step by step looks to wear using the colours from the palette, such a brilliant idea for anyone who isn't familiar with using eyeshadow. 

This is my new holy grail product, very rarely do I ever use every single colour in a palette, each one suits me perfectly and I find myself reaching for it every single day. I used the palette New Years eve, and the colours stayed on throughout the whole night- the staying power is insane! I would 100% recommend the Natural Eyes palette, I absolutely LOVE it! 

Im so thankful to my dad for kindly gifting me 2 of my new holy grail products, you did good dad, you did good!

September Instagram Roundup.

It's been a good while since I've done an Instagram update/roundup, I love these posts, as I get to talk about the picture a little more than I would on good old Insta.

1 - Macbook. 
Possibly my favourite photo of the month purely due to the fact I finally bought myself a Macbook Pro. Id been saving for this for a little while now, I had enough money so I thought I'd bite the bullet and do it, although I had the money, it still hurt parting with it even though I knew I'd be getting myself a Macbook, I'm a very stingy person! haha.

2 - My Dog.

I visited home this week, (mums house), at the minute I'm living at my dads for a bit as he's on holiday, to find my mum had taken my dog to have a haircut, she looks so tiny when she has one, love her hah.

3 - Lipstick.

This photo is from one of my older blog posts, Red Lipstick Obsession. I really do have a red lipstick obsession, everyone seems to think they're all exactly the same, but lipstick lovers like myself will know they most definitely are not! haha.

4 - My Dads Cat.

I have a new found love for this cat, before staying at dads I hated cats, but this one cuddles up to me and Matt every night, and is generally a really silly cat haha. Matt and myself returned from work to find her sat in his bag, because.. well why not, maybe it was really comfy.

5 - Cupcakes.

Again, whilst staying at dads I made these pretty cupcakes, I never usually bake but I had a craving haha, and I'm so proud of my piping skills! :)

6 - Makeup Purchases.

Everything you can see in this box I bought in September, I can't stop buying makeup.. It's a problem..

7 - Gold Magic Perfume.

Another new found love, this smells incredible and I absolutely love it!

8 - Lush Bath.

My house was freeeeezing last month, so baths returned, and I cannot have one without a Lush product of some sort! 

8 - Jord Wood Watch.

Yep.. Still in love with this. It's beautiful. made completely from natural wood, with a rose gold face, what's not to love really?!

9 - RT's Bold Metals Brushes.

Whilst shopping in Cardiff I spotted these and wanted both, initially I decided to only buy the contour brush, but Matt was kind enough to buy the other one for me, he's too lovely to me! I'm very lucky.

10 - Cavachon Puppy.
I wish this was mine, but unfortunately not. However I'm determined to get one, they are adorable, I need one in my life!

A Big Drugstore, Yankee Candle & Primark Haul.

Myself and my boyfriend spent the weekend just gone in Cardiff, one of the best places to go for shopping - or so I think anyway, it's massive! I picked up a fair few things, so I thought I would share with you what I bought! I haven't included everything, because if I did, you would get incredibly bored.. I bought far too much!

 

 

Primark -  Bambi PJ Bottoms. These are so so soft, and really comfortable. I love the little quote on the leg - these are more of a thin pair of jogging bottoms than PJ's, there's also a matching top but I went with just the bottoms! I think these were around £7.

 

Primark - Fluffy Bed Socks. I wasn't going to buy these! Matt made me haha, and I'm so glad he did. I'm a sucker for anything Disney! These were £2.50
 

 

Primark - Hair Clips and Earrings. I don't think I ever go into Primark and not buy their hair clips, they're the best I've found for my stupidly thick long hair! I also picked up these earrings, the boyfriend chose these, they're rather pretty!:)

Primark - Scarf. Ive wanted a new scarf for aaaaages, I saw this one without even looking at the price at bought it straight away haha, It was only £4.00 though which is an absolute bargain!

 

Boots - Little Mix's Gold Magic Perfume. My new favourite perfume, it smells amazing! I wont try and explain what it smells like because I'm rubbish haha, but seriously it's incredibleeee! £19.95
Hollister - sneakily adding this one in haha, I've always used Hollister body sprays, this one is in the scent Lunada Bay. £11

 

Yankee Candle - Berry Trifle & Snowflake Cookie
Yankee Candles are my favourite, I've bought snowflake cookie 3 times now, however berry trifle is new for this year! I know it's not Christmas yet, but I'm so excited haha!

So there we have it, I also bought a few pairs of jeans which I haven't included, they're your basic black and blue and not too exciting haha.

Cleaning My Makeup Brushes

It's that time I dread, cleaning my makeup brushes.

I really, really, don't like cleaning my makeup brushes, mainly because I have far too many, but today only 3 needed cleaning, thank god! These were;

1. Real Techniques - Foundation Brush

2. Real Techniques - Expert Face Brush

3. Real Techniques - Stippling Brush

They were so dirty to begin with, as these three are the brushes I use most, I like to change up the foundation brushes I use, so I could easily use a different one every day! 

I don't really have a certain routine as such, I just use a shampoo and rub the brushes into my hand one at a time, I find if I rub the brush over my knuckles it creates more of a lather, so they become cleaner a lot faster! Which definitely gives me a lot more motivation to clean them more often. 

After they're lovely and clean, I place the brushes onto a towel and celotape them to it, then water is able to drain out of them, although there shouldn't be that much as I try to avoid getting water in the ferrel. 

And this is the end result, clean makeup brushes! :D I'd also like to add that you should definitely try using baby shampoo, it's an inexpensive alternative and works just as well as brush cleaner, if not better!

And yes, I have a towel with my name on it, I have no idea why or how, but I like it a lot! Haha.
