October Instagram Roundup.

October went by so quickly didn't it?! It really doesn't feel like its been a month since I wrote the September roundup, I've had a pretty busy October - meaning it practically whizzed by, and lots of new photos!

It was my birthday in October, which was a good excuse for cake; how amazing is this cake though?! Mac and me found it in Asda, I really didn't want to cut it! Its white chocolate.

For the first time ever, I broke my beloved iPhone 6! :( I was pretending it was a microphone, and flung it down the toilet haha. It was completely dead,  I spoke to apple, who said it would cost me £260 to repair, so I went to Carphone Warehouse hoping to pay off my contract, and start a new one with a new phone. To find I was due an upgrade months ago, wuhay! :)

Not gunna lie I'm so impressed that I managed to do these myself.. *grins*

I received a fair few gifts for my birthday, all of which I'm really grateful for. My mum bought me the Soap and Glory eyeliner, and the Glad Hair Day. I do love a bit of S&G!

I'm so impressed with the bath bomb collection I've got going on haha.. Matt bought me a gift set for my birthday, I loved everything, so I went on the Lush website to find they now have all of their christmas bits in, clearly I couldn't help myself and bought the whole bleddy shop!

I seem to say this every month, I bought another red lipstick, the obsession is forever strong haha. This one looks so pretty, although I have loads of reds I can assure you each one is a different shade, or so I think, everyone thinks they're exactly the same!

This little beauty is Matt who I'm forever talking about/bigging up. Who I recently described to my friend as being an 11/10 haha, he was very chuffed. He made my birthday the best one yet, he bought me the nicest, most thoughtful gifts and I couldn't be more thankful. You could tell he thought about each one really carefully, he knows me better than I know myself. This was taken outside of the place we went for a Carvery, for my birthday. But how vile does my hair look.. definitely need to get it dyed!

This little beauty was one of my presents from Matt, if you've never heard of Imperial Candles, go straight to their website now because you'll definitely want one! Its basically a candle with jewellery inside, Matt chose a ring to go inside mine. He also chose to get me a bath bomb too, which had the prettiest necklace inside. Amazing idea!

I took too many photos this month, so Ive only included a few,
how was your October?!

Chocolate Brownies & Mint Custard

Oh hiiii!

A bit of a different post from me tonight! As I write this I'm feeling completely stuffed from eating far too many brownies and custard:( but I thought it was far too good to not share with you all!

If you went to school in England, it's highly likely for your school dinner desert you had mint custard and chocolate concrete cake, as soon as I heard "chocolate concrete cake" I had memories flooding back of trying to eat it with a spoon, and it flying across the table! Haha. Other country's may have had this desert too though, let me know if you did!

Because I loved it so much I decided to make it myself, it was a lot easier than I expected!

You will need the following ingredients;

300mls milk.
20grams corn flour.
2tbsp caster sugar. (Not pictured above as I had to do a special trip to get some!)
Peppermint extract.
Green food colouring (optional)

However, if you can't be bothered to make it yourself, you can just use a packet custard, and add hot water, peppermint, and food colouring. It's just as yummy!

1) You will need to measure 300mls of milk into a jug

2) In a small bowl mix together the caster sugar and the corn flour and several tablespoons of milk, as this will make a smooth paste, this will make it easier to mix in the next step

3) Put the milk into a pan and add the corn flour and sugar paste, stir well and gradually bring to the boil, you must stir all the time to prevent it burning! You'll know when it's done, as it should coat the back of the spoon.

4) Add the peppermint, add however much you want, different people have different preferences, and add the food colouring. Experiment with this, I think it looks better if it's a light green.

5) Optional: leave to cool for half an hour, then pour on desired desert.

I decided to have chocolate brownies, I didn't make these, as it was quite late at night, (I had a craving!) so I bought these from Tesco.

It's exactly like the desert I had at school, my all time favourite!
