How I Edit My Instagram Pictures.

I am completely Instagram obsessed, it's probably my most loved form of social media.

i'm always taking photos, and I actually really enjoy the process of editing them, and uploading them. I feel like I'm creating a little memory book for myself, full of my favourite pictures :)

I've had a lot of questions recently regarding how I take my pictures, how I edit them, and what apps I use, so I thought it would be more helpful if I wrote an in-depth post, rather than trying to squeeze everything into a short comment on my photo haha!

So;

- The first thing I do is make sure the settings on my camera are right, I use my Iphone6s to take the picture you see on my Instagram, the camera on my phone is pretty good! So all I do is make sure I have the "square" option on, you know, like when you go to take a photo, instead of it being in the rectangular shape, it's already in the square shape for you. Amazing. Less work for me, thank you apple! haha. I like to make my Instagram very white, so I try to stick to white backgrounds, it's very difficult believe me!

- The next thing I do is head on over to VSCOcam, my favourite for adjusting the brightness, contrast, and to sharpen! I don't really touch anything else.

- I will then take the photo over to Picfx, this is where I add the little light leaks (if i use them) but I mainly use this app for the little dots of light/sparkle, I turn it down a fraction so it isn't so in your face, and voila! I think it really finishes off a picture.

- Then finally before I upload it so Instagram, I will head on over to Squaready, this is where I add the white border to my photos.

- Finally, it's ready to be uploaded to Instagram, and honestly, that's all I do! I don't do filters, or any fancy editing, I just up the brightness, sharpen, maybe add fade depending on the picture, and add the light leaks.

And here is the finished picture, fully edited. I love how bright my pictures are, especially through the winter months, it's kept everything super fresh :) Although it's been very difficult.. because in England the weather is just brill at the moment, with the sun disappearing super early, or just being non existent. haha.

I hope you enjoyed having a little nosey into how I edit my pictures!

5 Instagram Accounts I've Been Loving! - August

Here we are again, for the month of August, I'm going to showing you 5 of my favourite Instagram accounts.

Like I said in my last post like this one, Instagram is my absolute favourite social networking site, I find myself scrolling through picture after picture liking far too many, I'm just obsessed with it, my last post went down so well with you guys, so I thought I would share another 5 beauuutiful accounts with you.

Tamzin has such an annoyingly beautiful account, it bothers me a lot! (account envy right here). She posts effortlessly beautiful pictures of makeup, food and drink, beautiful selfies, and seriously those selfies.. How can someone look so pretty in a picture?! She's honestly just lovely and her blog is lovely too, a lot of her pictures relate back to her blog, which is cool as I always find myself seeing these and then catching up on any of her posts I may have missed! You really need to make sure you're following her, you will share my jealousy of how pretty she and her account is!
You can also find her blog here - www.throughneweyesx.com

The lovely Olivia Redfern posts to this account, and oh my is she good at taking pictures?! Her posts range from nail varnish, makeup and brushes, food, Disney Land (big winner in my book, Disney obsessed over here) wish lists, and more. She also relates back to her blog, her blog has beautiful pictures so the fact she stores these on her Instagram means I can like every single one haha.. She's just brilliant at what she does, both her blog and instagram.
You can find her blog here - oliviaredfern.blogspot.co.uk

Rissie is a blogger and a youtuber, and also uploads the most gorgeous pictures to her Instagram. You will find lots of flowers, cats, hair styles, smoothies, a bog post photos on her account. Can we just discuss how yummy that smoothie looks?! I now want to make my own! Her Instagram reflects how beautiful her blog is, she's brilliant at taking photos. I find myself liking far too many of her pictures, but I honestly can't help myself - they're beautiful.

A Peek Into My Bedroom.

After moving house in January, (not through choice), I was forced to give up my old home, which we had decorated just how we liked it, to our own personal tastes. This wasn't because we were thrown out or anything, my mum and step dad separated, so myself and mum moved on to a brand new life. Meaning, lots of decorating to be done in the new place!

I completely decorated my new room myself, (lets be honest, painting walls white isn't too difficult), I added all the little personal touches myself, the candles, which after taking pictures of my room I've decided I have way too many of! and the never ending white ornaments!
I went for white and pastel theme, I think it looks really clean and fresh, and I love how It's turned out! So, I thought I would share it with you; apologies for not being able to include prices or where everything is from, I've had the majority of it for years!

Enjoy;

This is what my room looks like upon entry, note the Bambi PJ's on my radiator which I forgot to remove.. I love them though, Disney obsessed!
